NewsRadio KLBJ making changes to weekday morning lineup

NewsRadio KLBJ is shaking up its weekday lineup starting Monday.

The news/talk station, which can be heard on 590 AM and 99.7 FM, is expanding its signature morning program, “The Todd and Don Show” to five hours, running from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

At 10 a.m., the changes continue with the addition of an extra hour of “The Mark and Melynda Show,” which recently took over the 2 p.m. time slot, where it will continue to be heard, as well.

Gone from the lineup is the nationally syndicated “The Brian Kilmeade Show” featuring Fox News host Brian Kilmeade.

NewsRadio 590 has made a few tweaks to its lineup.

The news/talk station has added the nationally syndicated “Kilmeade and Friends” to its weekday schedule, airing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The program, hosted by Brian Kilmeade from “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel, “thoroughly covers the day’s big stories in politics, money, sports and entertainment while interviewing America’s top newsmakers.”

To make way for the new addition, the locally produced “Mark & Charlie” show, which aired at 10 a.m., has been canceled.

Also, “The Todd and Don Show,” which had aired from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. now runs from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The rest of the NewsRadio 590 lineup remains intact.
