Listen for two new voices to pop up on Austin classical music station KMFA 89.5 FM.

Nathan Langfitt has been named host of “Sunday Matinee,” which airs Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

His previous broadcast experience includes a stint at the classical radio station in Baton Rouge, La. He also headed up Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s education department for a time and now serves as a lecturer at the University of Texas.

“Nathan’s work with the performing arts, both in education and as a musician, his experience in classical broadcasting, and his friendly, genuine style make him the perfect fit for ‘Sunday Matinee,’” said KMFA director of broadcasting and content Anthony McSpadden.

Carla McElhaney has been picked to serve as host of the newly expanded “Night Music” program. It now runs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

“Reverie,” which had aired from midnight to 2 a.m., has been canceled.

McElhaney is the pianist, co-founder and artistic director of Austin chamber music and arts collective Revel.

“One of the first things I noticed about Carla at a Revel performance was her warmth and her ability to really connect with an audience during live performances,” McSpadden said. “She has a wonderful presence at the mic on stage, and she has the ability to transfer that skill to the studio. Her sense of style as well as her musicality put her squarely in the mold of what we think it takes to host our popular ‘Night Music’ program.”

Langfitt and McElhaney replace Carmel O’Donovan, who has departed the station.
