Sean Adams and Chip Brown will host “The Bottom Line” weekdays from 5 to 10 a.m.
Adams had been heard afternoons on The Zone, while Brown most recently worked at competing station 104.9 The Horn.
The two previously hosted a show together from 2007 to 2010.
“I’m so excited to be back with Sean and bringing local sports talk in the morning back to AM 1300 The Zone,” Brown said. “No one has Sean’s perspective. It’s unique, compelling commentary. And yet we can totally make fun of each other. When Sean and I did radio together previously, we always made it our goal for the show to be the best part of our day and everyone else’s day. Austin will see how much fun we’re having, and join in.”
The new show will have a heavy focus on college sports, especially University of Texas football, the station said.
“Nothing could have forced me to wake up when it’s still dark every morning except rejoining Chip,” Adams said. “Doing a show together has easily been the most fun I’ve ever had doing radio. Chip is an incredible reporter and brings information to the show that people can’t find anywhere else. But we also just have a whole bunch of fun.”
