The forecast at KXAN calls for new assignments for some members of the station’s weather team.

Meteorologists David Yeomans and Mark Monstrola have traded places, with Yeomans taking over the weekday morning shift and Monstrola heading to weekend evenings.

The two will share duties weekdays at noon, with Yeomans delivering forecasts Monday and Tuesday and Monstrola handling midday weather Wednesday through Friday.

As part of the switches, Monstrola will become the primary fill-in for longtime chief weathercaster Jim Spencer.

The station has also hired a fourth meteorologist, Rosie Newberry, to fill the spot vacated in July by Natalie Stoll, who took a communications job with the Lower Colorado River Authority.

Newberry will deliver the weather on KXAN’s weekend morning newscasts. She arrives in Austin after working for a station in Columbia, Mo.
